One of the Association’s newest tournaments, The PGA England & Wales Inter County Championship was launched in 2013 and allows the two leading PGA Professional's from each county to compete.
As a 36-hole team event, 18 holes are played in a fourball strokeplay format followed by 18-holes played in a foursome strokeplay format.
The team with the lowest aggregate over the 36-holes are deemed the champions.

The winners of the inaugural event, which was staged at four-time Ryder Cup venue The Belfry, were Suffolk trio Lawrence Dodd, Kevin Earp and Peter Latimer.
Jason Levermore, James Scade and Brett Taylor made in history by winning consecutive PGA England & Wales Inter County Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
In 2019 the format for the PGA England & Wales Inter County Championship changed. There are no regional qualifiers with all 27 counties competing in the 36-hole final.
