A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

Celebrate your club captain’s year by joining The PGA for an unforgettable journey in the 2024 SkyCaddie PGA Pro-Captain Challenge.

Serving as a club captain is one of the greatest honours any golfer can achieve and playing as a team on behalf of your club alongside the PGA Professional provides a memory that will last forever. The SkyCaddie PGA Pro-Captain Challenge event creates a special bond between the captain and pro and has been doing so since the tournament’s inception in 1993.

This fourball stableford team competition is open to all golf clubs affiliated to their National Golf Union. You can enter one of 10 Regional Finals, played at outstanding venues across the UK and Ireland, with the winning team from each event booking their place in the Grand Final on a course that boasts an impressive pedigree.

Ten teams will enjoy the five-star hospitality experience at PGA National Italy, Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, part of the prestigious group of PGA branded properties.

This year title sponsor and PGA Partner, SkyCaddie, will be in attendance at all 10 Regional Finals and the Grand Final, where all competitors will be afforded the use of their premium GPS handheld devices during their round, giving yardages to the day’s pin positions.

Richard Barker PGA, Executive Director – Business Development said: “We’re delighted that entries are now open for the 2024 Skycaddie Pro-Captain Challenge. It’s a superb event that helps to make every club captain’s year that little bit more special and is enjoyed by PGA Members and club captains alike. We look forward to welcoming teams to the Regional Finals and, should they make it, the Grand Final in Italy. I wish you the best of luck in the competition and for the year ahead.”
