A number of PGA Members have been named as nominations for top accolades for the 2022 England Golf Awards. This year’s virtual ceremony will take place on 20th April, 2022 and be broadcast live on England Golf’s YouTube channel.
This year’s virtual ceremony – hosted once again by broadcaster, journalist and avid golfer Naga Munchetty – will take place on Wednesday 20 April from 6.30pm and be broadcast live on England Golf’s YouTube channel.
The evening will also feature presenter, singer, broadcaster and new golfer Fleur East in an exciting ‘roving’ role to be revealed on the night.
Nominations were invited from the public for 10 of the 11 categories. Performance of the Year candidates were nominated by England Golf staff.
In keeping with tradition, there is no shortlist for the Lifetime Service Award which will be presented to one worthy recipient on the night.
An expert panel of 46 judges, made up of England Golf staff as well as industry and media colleagues, faced the unenviable task of narrowing down the potential winners from an outstanding longlist of nominations.
Hannah Crump (Stonebridge Golf Club, Warwickshire) has been shortlisted for the Diversity and Inclusion Champion award and she is also in with a chance of winning the Women and Girls' Trailblazer accolade along with fellow PGA Member Alice Davis (Parkstone Golf Club, Dorset).
Kevin Caplehorn (Lee-on-the-Solent Golf Club, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands), Adam Chamberlain (Peterborough Milton Golf Club, Northamptonshire), Aaron Cox (Blackwell Grange Golf Club, Durham), and Beth Scott (Old Ford Manor Golf Club, Hertfordshire) have been shortlisted for the Participation and Development Coach of the Year.

“This is a chance to shine a light on those individuals, groups, counties and clubs who don’t seek publicity for the great work they do, but who deserve to be honoured and recognised.
“To read about such levels of passion, creativity and dedication being shown by so many from our golfing community is truly inspirational.
“I very much look forward to the ceremony and invite all golfers and supporters of the game to come online and join in with a celebration of all that’s good about the club and amateur scene in England.”
