A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

The England Golf Awards return for 2025 and nominations are now open for the 12 award categories, all of which will be revealed at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Wednesday 2nd April 2025.

The awards allow the opportunity to recognise and reward individuals, clubs and counties who have excelled in what they do and have made a huge impact on the game of golf. Alongside the 12 awards, there will be some new names inducted into the England Golf Hall of Fame.

This year, nominations are being invited for the following categories:

  • Club of the Year
  • Facility of the Year
  • County of the Year
  • Sustainability Project of the Year
  • Lifetime Service Award
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Young Person of the Year (previously Young Volunteer of the Year)
  • Participation & Development Coach of the Year
  • Women & Girls Trailblazer
  • Respect in Golf Award (previously Diversity & Inclusion Champion)
  • Performance of the Year (internal nominations)
  • Tournament Venue of the Year (internal nominations)

All nominations are public nominations excluding the Performance of the Year and Tournament of the Year, while the Hall of Fame inductees will be decided by a panel of experts.

England Golf Chief Executive Jeremy Tomlinson said: “We’ve celebrated and enjoyed a very special Centenary Year, as well as of course heralding another progressive year for promoting the sport of golf in England. Our England Golf team alongside clubs, counties and thousands of volunteers continue to inspire not only more people to participate, but also more people who are happy to refer to themselves as golfers.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the shining lights of 2024 to the awards in April, where we will celebrate all the performances and amazing work of the countless volunteers within the game.”
