No fewer than five PGA Branded Properties came away with top international accolades at the 2022 World Golf Awards.

Hosted at the exclusive Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island resort in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (15th November, 2022), the World Golf Awards reward excellence in the golf tourism market.

The Belfry came away two awards after its hugely popular Brabazon Course, home to four Ryder Cups, was named England’s Best Golf Course for the eighth year running. The Midland-based venue was also awarded England’s Best Golf Hotel.

Antalya Golf Club’s PGA Sultan course was announced as the best in Turkey, while the venue’s Kempinski Hotel The Dome was voted Turkey’s number one hotel.

Aphrodite Hills (PGA National Cyprus) took home the award for ‘Cyprus’ Best Golf Hotel’ for the third year running, and Modry Las (PGA National Poland) won the award for ‘Poland’s Best Golf Course’ for the seventh time.

The award for the best golf course in the Czech Republic went to PGA National Czech Republic.

Elsewhere, PGA Principal Partner Titleist was named the ‘World’s Best Golf Club Brand’, while FootJoy won the ‘World’s Best Golf Shoe Brand’ accolade.

Commenting on the awards for PGA Branded Properties and Principal Partners, David Adams, Head of Commercial at The PGA, said: “The recognition of excellence for five of our PGA Branded Properties at the 2022 World Golf Awards is testimony to their fundamental qualities of design, operations and service.

“The PGA is proud to work closely with each award-winning property and we hope many of our Members and golfers alike will take the opportunity to visit each themselves to experience world class golf and hospitality.

“We would also like to congratulate PGA Principal Partners Titleist and FootJoy for winning the World’s Best Golf Club Brand and Shoe Brand respectively.”
