Five PGA Branded Properties were among the winners at the 2023 World Golf Awards in Abu Dhabi.

The 10th annual World Golf Awards ceremony was hosted at the exclusive Radisson Blu Hotel Yas Island and Yas Links Abu Dhabi.

The event rewards excellence in the golf tourism market and brought together industry leaders from more than 65 nations across Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Latin America, North America and Oceania.

Votes were cast by golf industry professionals, the media and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.

The PGA’s newest Branded Property, Golf Adriatic (PGA National Croatia) was named as the ‘Best Course’ in Croatia, while the Kempinski Golf Adriatic was awarded the country’s ‘Best Golf Hotel’.

Aphrodite Hills (PGA National Cyprus) came away with the ‘Best Course’ in Cyprus award, while Oaks Prague (PGA National Czech Republic) won the same accolade for the Czech Republic for the second year running.

Elsewhere, the PGA Sultan at Antalya Golf Club (PGA National Turkey) took home the prize for Turkey’s Best Golf Course and The Belfry (PGA National England) was named England’s Best Golf Hotel for the fourth time in five years.

Commenting on the success of five of it’s PGA Branded Properties at the 2023 World Golf Awards, Guy Moran (Head of Trademarks & Commercial Support), said: “We are delighted to celebrate the success of our PGA Branded Properties at this year’s World Golf Awards.

“Winning an international award is a special achievement and these five PGA Nationals have all demonstrated their fundamental qualities of design, operations and services – all qualities needed to become a PGA Branded Property.

“The PGA is very proud to work closely with each award-winning property and we hope their achievements at the World Golf Awards will encourage PGA Members and golfers to visit them and experience their world class golf and hospitality.”
