A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

As part of the launch of The PGA’s new website, we are pleased to introduce PGA Jobs – a modern recruitment platform designed to support PGA Members, Trainees and employers across the golf industry

Whether you’re looking for your next role or seeking to hire talent, PGA Jobs provides a centralised, easy-to-use space that brings together all aspects of golf-related recruitment in one place.

The platform replaces the previous job board and consolidates multiple recruitment areas – including Member job listings, training vacancies and student placements – into one streamlined experience.

While PGA Jobs has been developed to serve the needs of PGA Members, both as candidates and employers, the platform makes it easier for employers to post jobs and reach more candidates.

A better experience for Members and Employers

PGA Jobs offers a range of new and improved features. Candidates can create personal profiles, manage their preferences and receive tailored job alerts based on location, salary and job type. For employers, the platform provides a fully functional Applicant Tracking System (ATS), allowing them to post jobs, manage applications and streamline the recruitment process.

The platform also introduces a 24/7 self-service model, giving employers the flexibility to post roles as and when they need. In addition, enhanced reporting capabilities will provide The PGA with valuable insights into recruitment trends across the industry.

Since launch, PGA Jobs has received 8,700 visits, showing strong early engagement and a growing pool of applicants.

A key improvement is how jobs are now promoted across the new PGA website. Previously, roles were hidden behind a login and only seen by those actively job hunting. Now, job widgets display listings throughout the site, meaning more Members see them, even those not actively looking for a job. This helps employers reach a wider audience, including passive job seekers who may be open to new opportunities.

A new model – ‘Open with Restrictions’

One of the most significant updates is the introduction of an ‘Open, with restriction’ model. Under this approach, all job listings are publicly viewable, but only PGA Members can apply for certain roles. These restricted listings include positions traditionally associated with PGA Members, such as Head Professional, Coach and Teaching Professional.

This model brings several benefits. It encourages a wider range of job opportunities to be presented, including roles in club management and golf operations, and allows greater engagement with aspiring professionals. At the same time, it safeguards the value of PGA Membership by maintaining exclusive access to core industry positions

How will it work?

PGA Jobs is central to the website, recognising its importance as an essential Member Service and service to the wider industry.

PGA Members should log in using existing log in details, utilising our single sign-on function, as both a candidate and employer.

As an employer, you will also be able to manage candidate applications through the platform and have applications sent to you by email, or directly to your own ATS system, should you have one.

As a candidate, you will be able to create job alerts by  setting your own ‘preferences’ in regard to the type of jobs you wish to be notified of, such as region, salary and job category/title.

Advertising opportunities

The platform features four tiers of paid advertising: Basic, Plus, Premium and Enterprise, each offering varying levels of visibility. Plus and Premium listings will  sit at the top of the listings, with Premium listings having the additional benefit of receiving promotion through the PGA Connect newsletter and The PGA’s LinkedIn page.

The Enterprise package meets the needs of companies or organisations that have multiple vacancies which they wish to advertise. This includes everything in the Plus package for an unlimited number of job listings for 12 months.

Since launch, the Basic job listing product will be free of charge for PGA Members. Members can use the discount code ‘MemberPGA1’ during checkout to receive this discount.

Members can also benefit from a 10% discount on Plus and Premium listings, ensuring your advert receives additional visibility at the top of the listings page. To take advantage of this discount, Members should use the code: ‘Member10’.

"We’re proud to launch PGA Jobs - a platform designed to meet the evolving recruitment needs of our PGA Members, Trainees, and the wider golf industry. We've built this service to support our Members not only as job seekers but also as employers, while also opening the door for a broader range of organisations to connect with our increasingly diverse Membership.

“With a user-friendly self-serve function, employers can post job listings 24/7, ensuring roles are published quickly and efficiently. Meanwhile, Members can sign up for tailored job alerts, delivering relevant opportunities straight to their inbox - saving valuable time and streamlining the job search process."

- Matthew Davies, PGA Recruitment Advertising Manager
