A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

The annual London PGA Lunch returns for 2025, offering a rare opportunity to get up close with some of golf’s most respected figures.

The London lunch follows the sold-out Glasgow event, where Bernard Gallacher will be joined by his nephew, Stephen Gallacher, for a look back at their storied careers. But if you didn’t secure tickets, fear not, as there is still an opportunity to join what promises to be an equally memorable afternoon in the capital.

Taking place at the five-star Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday 19th December, this year’s PGA Lunch London welcomes two legends of the game: Dame Laura Davies, Colin Montgomerie and Sam Torrance.

Between them, they bring decades of experience at the top level – Davies, of course, a World Golf Hall of Fame inductee and one of the game’s most decorated female players; while Torrance and Montgomerie stand as two of Europe’s greatest golf icons– both multiple-time European Tour champions and Ryder Cup heroes, each having captained Europe to memorable Ryder Cup victories.

The trio promise to bring captivating stories, charisma and laughter as they reflect on their extraordinary careers in the game.

In London, the conversation will be hosted by Iain Carter, BBC Radio’s long-time voice of golf and co-host of The Chipping Forecast podcast. Rounding off the afternoon is acclaimed comedian Scott Bennett, returning with his signature brand of sharp, festive humour.

Each lunch runs from midday to 4pm, offering guests plenty of time to enjoy great food, lively stories, and the company of golfing greats.

Tickets for the London lunch are still available, but demand is expected to be high. Don’t miss your chance to be part of a memorable afternoon celebrating the game and its personalities in an intimate, relaxed setting.
