A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

The PGA is delighted to announce a new National Tournament Partnership with Swedish apparel brand Abacus Sportswear, a leader in high-performance golf apparel.

Since its inception, Abacus has been renowned for its innovation in waterproof golf gear and at the forefront of designing quality and functional golf apparel, whilst ensuring players can perform their best regardless of weather conditions.

Abacus will provide PGA tournament staff and National final winners with award-winning waterproof suits, whilst making a significant contribution to the sustainability of PGA tournaments through prize fund support.

Their financial support reflects their commitment to the long-term sustainability of PGA Tournaments and the continued enhancement of the experience for PGA Members. Additionally, as part of their support, the Abacus team will be on hand at select PGA National Tournaments to showcase the variety of styles and fits of their jackets. PGA Members will also receive a 30% own-use discount on the Pitch and Bounce waterproof range.

Sven-Olof Karlsson, CEO and Founder of Abacus Sportswear, shared his excitement and commitment to the partnership: “As a brand, we are committed to designing quality and innovative products to help players play their best golf, and the PGA Member is central to us achieving that aim.

"The golf course is hard enough— golfers don’t want to have to battle the weather too. Just like PGA Members, we care about performance, and we are excited to be able to share more about our waterproof products with PGA Members through the 2025 season.”

Richard Barker PGA, Executive Director – Business Development welcomed the partnership and added: “We are delighted to partner with Abacus. Their commitment to supporting PGA Members, both through innovative apparel and financial contributions to our tournaments, is a fantastic addition to our growing network of partners as we continue to make strides towards the future sustainability of our tournaments.”
