A warm welcome: PGA induction days inspire Year 1 Trainees

Taunton-based Total Triumph Motorcycles have not only agreed to sponsor the Gloucestershire and Somerset PGA Winter Series for the 11th successive year but also added a new dimension to the competition.

The series, which culminates with the Triumph Strokeplay Championship at Lilley Brook Golf Club next May, will include a competition within a competition.

Carrying the name of another of Total Triumph owner Neil Mossman’s business interests, Old Sports Auctions, the addition will apply to several of the 21-events in the main series, feature a mini-Order of Merit, and boost prize funds.

Reflecting on his continuing support for PGA pros in the two counties, Mossman said: “It is always a pleasure to support these professionals through Total Triumph, seeing their games develop and grow through the competitive environment we help to provide.

“I am also looking to forward to getting out on the courses in a few more events over this winter alongside them to see this progression firsthand!”

Andrew March, Gloucestershire and Somerset PGA chairman, added: “We are always very grateful for the support we get from Neil through Total Triumph and now Old Sports Auctions.

“This helps us provide a full schedule of winter golf for the local PGA pros, which would be impossible without Neil’s consistent and ongoing support.”

The series gets under way at Brean Golf Club on September 13.
