The pro who turned support into sustainability

Following the changes introduced in 2024 to allow shorts to be worn in Pro-Am tournaments, and in response to ongoing Member feedback, a proposal was submitted to the Membership Committee and Regional Committees to extend this change to Pro-only PGA Tournaments.

The committees have since voted in favour, meaning, subject to being acceptable under the dress rules of the relevant host venue, PGA Members now have the option to wear shorts in Pro-only PGA Tournaments, with the change taking effect immediately.

Please note that this regulation change is not dependent on the temperature at a particular tournament and PGA Members have the choice to wear shorts at PGA Tournaments whenever they wish.
