The PGA is proud to reflect on another successful year of partnership with Acushnet, who in 2025 selected PGA Care as one of its two chosen charities, making a generous contribution of £15,000 to support PGA Members and their families.
The donation reflects a meaningful investment in the wellbeing of the PGA community, helping PGA Care continue delivering vital assistance to those who need it most. Throughout 2025, Acushnet placed The PGA at the heart of its charitable activity, alongside the Make-A-Wish Foundation, raising awareness, fundraising and reinforcing its commitment to the PGA Members who are central to the game.
Tristan Crew, PGA Care Trustee, commented: “We are incredibly grateful to Acushnet for choosing PGA Care as one of their charities in 2025 and for their generous donation.
“Their support will make a genuine difference to the lives of PGA Members and their families, and we thank them for their commitment to The PGA community.”
Formally known as the PGA Benevolent Fund, PGA Care was rebranded in 2025 to better reflect the breadth of support it provides. While the name has evolved, the charity’s purpose remains unchanged – offering wellbeing support and practical help to PGA Members and their dependants during times of hardship, alongside confidential financial assistance for those facing illness.
Acushnet, home to leading brands including Titleist and Footjoy, has been a valued Principal Partner of The PGA for many years. Beyond its support of PGA Care, Acushnet actively works with the Association to equip, train and inspire PGA Members, including hosting CPD events and providing additional educational opportunities. This ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting those who dedicate their careers to growing the game.
Matthew Johnson, General Manager at Acushnet UK said: “PGA Members have been a cornerstone of our business for more than a century, and we simply couldn’t do what we do without their expertise, passion and support.
“This donation to PGA Care reflects our long-standing commitment to The PGA and our desire to help ensure PGA Members have access to the advice, care and wellbeing support they deserve.”
The PGA would like to offer its sincere thanks to Acushnet for its generosity and for recognising the importance of supporting PGA Members both on and off the golf course.
