The deadline for all Members to complete and submit your 2025/26 CPD journal via PGA Learn is 31st October, 2026.
After this deadline, your journal will lock. You won't be able to add entries or make edits for this period.
The golf industry continues to evolve, with developments across coaching, technology and the wider business of golf creating new opportunities for Members to enhance their knowledge and skills. Recording your CPD activity helps you reflect on your professional development, build your expertise and demonstrate your commitment to maintaining the high standards expected by golfers, employers and the wider industry. Once you meet or exceed the minimum learning hours for the year, currently 15, you will maintain or gain CPD Accredited status for the rest of the 2025/26 CPD year and through 2026/27. If you already hold Accredited status and haven't submitted your 15 hours by the deadline, you will lose it on 1st November 2026.
CPD Accredited status is the entry point to PGA Excel, the assessment framework that lets you demonstrate your impact on the golf industry. PGA Excel awards designations across membership categories: Advanced, Fellow, Advanced Fellow and Master.
Late last year, we reviewed CPD activity recorded on PGA Learn. Self-directed learning made up 40% of recorded activity, formal learning such as seminars and courses 26%, work-based learning such as mentoring and on-the-job training 21%, and professional activities like tutoring and examining 12%. By format, videos, webinars and podcasts accounted for 23% and online courses for 19%.
These figures show that CPD isn't limited to attending courses. Many Members are already undertaking learning and development activities that could count towards their CPD hours. When adding an entry in MyCPD, use the drop-down menus to explore the full range of activity types that can be recorded and check whether any learning you've completed during the year has yet to be added to your journal.
A third of the membership logged into PGA Learn last year, with Trainees at 38% against full Members at 32%. If you haven't yet completed your CPD journal, now is the time to review your activities and ensure they are recorded before the 31st October deadline. Remember, you may already have completed more CPD than you realise.
Log in to PGA Learn and submit your 2025/26 CPD journal before 31st October.
